Empowerment policy registers marginal success
The newspaper article reports about empowerment policies in Tanzania. The government efforts to empower citizens have registered little success after reaching less than 10 per cent of the targeted key pillars in almost a decade ago. The status of implementation of economic strategies targeting ten pillars shows that, out of 89 strategies only five were implemented fully representing 5.6 per cent success. The failure in implementing economic strategies is due to poor strategic planning.
