Financial stability report-2011

Abstract

The report examines financial stability in Tanzania. It covers financial sector developments during the period between June and December 2010 and the outlook. Data collection involved review of various documents and reports. Findings show that the Tanzanian financial system remained stable and resilient to shocks and it is expected to remain so for the coming six months until the next assessment. Conditions in the domestic financial markets and the payment systems remained sound and efficient enough to support smooth financial transactions in the economy and thus facilitating the domestic economic activities.
