Coffee could make farmers rich
Abstract
This news is about the potential of Coffee in Tanzania to fetch an income, worth over US$ 200 Million, through the implementation of a comprehensive grass-root based intervention mapped out in the ten years national coffee development strategy. More than 95 percent of Tanzania’s coffee is exported where minimum standards are not very high. Tanzania has partnered with other members Africa, Caribbean, and Pacific Countries (ACPC) into pushing for fair international pricing system in a resolve to boost producer incomes.
