Cocoa farmers now censure government for abandoning crop
Abstract
Cocoa farmers complained that the government has not helped them to improve the crop despite the crop contribution to the growth of the countys economy. During a meeting held to develop a national strategy for the development of cocoa in Dar es Salaam farmers told The Guardian to that the government has not designed a programme to improve the crop. Cocoa farmers insisted that if the government would have addressed the challenges face the cocoa crop, Tanzania in the next ten years would have become the leading cocoa producers.
